Reviews & Testimonials

  • "Ashley is a lifesaver. When we got Storm, we were in over our heads. We tried a bunch of different trainers, but some required harsh forms of punishment and none focused on positive reinforcement based training. Once we found Ashley, everything changed. Not only did she help with Storm's recall, counter surfing, and leash training but she also helped us understand our dog better. Everything from how to communicate with her to how to improve her diet. She has completely transformed and is living her healthiest, happiest life. People compliment our dog's behavior now all of the time and we give 100% of the credit to Ashley. I can't recommend her enough!"

  • “My Goldendoodle Hudson and I made major life changes during the pandemic - including a cross country move. Not long after, he began having issues with stress and separation, things I had never seen before in him. I worked on ways to get him back to his old self for months, but with little success. Finally, I decided to seek professional help. I was connected with Ashley, who was so incredibly helpful and without a doubt, knows her stuff. Her expertise, compassion, and love of animals is apparent. She walked into each of our sessions with such ease and always had an answer for any questions I had regarding how to manage certain behaviors. She was open to different training session locations, including our very last one, which was spent outdoors at a coffee shop. It's always been a goal of mine to get Hudson out in a public setting, and I am so glad we were able to do so! Having Ashley by my side to manage his behaviors, provide suggestions, and be a source of encouragement has made me a much more confident dog owner, which has made Hudson a happier dog. I would highly recommend Ashley to anyone who is considering. Much like kiddos, dogs (and more specifically, their owners) need guidance and tools to manage their behavior and Ashley is definitely an expert! Becasue of Ashley's dedication to me and Hudson, Hudson's anxiety has practically disappeared and I am able to have my life back.

  • “Ashley was amazing in helping us learn how to work with our pup Rosie. We've had Rosie for two years and avoided situations that brought her to points of reactivity. This meant almost never having anyone over to our home and when people did come over it was an extremely stressful situation for us. When we discovered we were expecting our first child we knew something had to change. We were at our breaking point and considered re-homing her, but she's a part of our family and we wanted to do what we could to keep her with us. After training we feel very confident in our ability to keep stress levels low and still have people over! (We also learned how to work with her reactivity to other dogs!). She's improved so much and surprises us every day - we're so proud and grateful. She's not "cured" per-say but there's been tremendous improvement and we have all the tips and tricks to bring down the intensity level and keep everyone safe and happy, we couldn't ask for anything more!-

  • "Ashley is such a wonderful person and an excellent trainer! She always took the time to thoroughly explain the concepts behind the training and to run us through exercises with our pup so that we understood what to do. It was clear to us that she truly cared about Oliver and his success - he really enjoyed his time with her! Ashley's communication was great throughout the program and we are very pleased with the results!

  • "I was looking for a trainer to help my Baja rescue be less stressed and aggressive towards people entering our home. Ashley was amazing and working with her has helped him become more comfortable when we have visitors. She taught me calming and de-stressing techniques, reading body language, how to modify my home environment, leash reactivity, and mat work. We are both so much happier in the home and on walks and can't thank Ashley enough!

  • "My bulldog really picked up the clicker when we are out on walks. It has been a game changer! I love that if I need to get her attention we have a variety of pattern games to pick from that help her to not react towards dogs on walks and stay under threshold. She's got a great emergency U-turn and I'm impressed how quickly she was able to pick everything up when we practiced at home. I honestly was a skeptic of the clicker at first, but it worked wonders!"

  • "Archer would normally bolt out the front door and never look back. Now he's working on unprompted attention and waiting before the door threshold. He gets frequent front yard access on a long line to do all the sniffing he wants and lots of praise for engaging with us outside (something that was impossible before calling Ashley for help). We are so proud of him and thankful for Ashley's help!"

  • "My dog was starting to act out on walks and in certain environments and I was not sure how best to respond and correct these behaviors. I found Ashley, who in the first consult provided so much value and insight on the things I was doing that could have been contributing to my dogs behavior it made signing up for the sessions with her a no brainer. I immediately started implementing her recommendations and through additional training sessions learned ways to better engage with my dog with training and enrichment activities. You can tell Ashley absolutely loves what she does. Her approach to training and her overall knoledge was invaluable to helping me better my pups daily life and reduced my stress in the areas I was struggling to understand."

  • “Ashley has been amazing! About a year ago I adopted my rescue dog/first dog. Ashley has been there since day one analyzing, suggesting, and initiating the best training practices. Kiwi took to her and loved Ashley right away which was a relief as she was very fearful and skittish upon adoption. Ashley has been a supporting trainer throughout the last year and has helped Kiwi and I overcome many obstacles. Ten out of ten recommend her to every single person looking for a trainer."

  • "Finley fell in love with Ashley at first sight! He's often unsure about meeting new people, but Ashley knew to just be calm, meet at a neutral location and have the best treats! The skills I was taught really helped build an even stronger relationship with my dog. After only 4 sessions, he's much more calm in most situations and his leash reactivity greatly improved! I could not recommend Ashley more!"

  • "Ashley is an incredible dog trainer. The results show. Anyone can call themselves a "dog trainer", but Ashley has actual certifications (CPDT-KA) and is continuously doing research on dog psychology. She uses HUMANE, positive-reinforcement based tactics; creating results that are not only long lasting, but help build a trustworthy relationship between you and your dog. She really helps you understand your dog, their body language, signs of stress, etc. You will come out of your first training session with Ashley picking up more knowledge than you'd ever expect."

  • My dog was having reactivity issues to the point where it was no longer fun to go on walks with her. We worked with Ashley for 6 sessions and she changed our relationship completely! I am better able to understand when my dog needs to get her energy out and sheturns to me instead of reacting to dogs, bikes, skateboards, and runners on our walks. She has great tools for decreasing your pups anxiety and makes training fun too! I really appreciated her gentle approach with behavioral training instead of other corrective trainers we tried. Ashley is great at reading dogs and thinking of new techniques on the fly and is very amiable to what your dog needs. I can't recommend her enough!

  • Ashley was THE BEST. I adopted a rescue who had some reactive behavior to dogs, small animals, bikes, joggers, etc. on walks and would jump and bark like crazy. All from excitement. Ashley gave me the tools and skills to train her and our walks are so much better! I know how to communicate and motivate Sadie properly and the results have been wonderful. I recommend her to all my friends and family!
